Silver Lining

They said it would sparkle one day
Even behind the darkest of cloud
Never imagined it would pierce me with a ray
A breathtaking sight, soundless yet so loud
Out of luck in a pitch black sky
The fair weather companions not twinkling, oh why?
Alone she walked on the canvas dark
A lone ranger hoping to make her mark

Burdens of vapor on her shoulder
Adding by the days as the sun would smolder
Braving the winds, the storms and the tornadoes
She marched ahead impaired and torn
But somewhere inside was a voice of hope
Trudge along as long as you can cope

Sometimes she stood tired and still
So worn out and run-down she just couldnt feel
At times the heavens would send a cheerful lark
To fill up her spirits, out from the dark
Then sometimes a lake would reflect and gleam
So radiant with the energy she would seem
And even in the lowest of her times
A distant rainbow showed seven ways to smile

For her silver lining she often did pine
Her race was never over, there was no finish line
Then one day the moon smiled and gave her a sign
She grasped the message, since then has been fine

Look up to your failures, coz they are your teachers
They give you a vision untold by the preachers
The journey not the destination, maketh us all
Learn a new way to rise, each time you fall
